In December 1992, at the Mulberry Church of God, Bro. Al Coleman preached a message, Standing in the Gap. Bro. Chris and Sis. Ree Armstrong were members at Mulberry Church of God and in attendance in that meeting.

Bro. Armstrong felt impressed of God during the meeting that he was called to pastor. After much prayer, God said, "Go to Riverview." And in February 1993, a mission was started in a home on Dusty Lane.

By April 1993, the church had grown and moved into a store front building on Commerce Drive and in May, the church was organized. The church was blessed and continued to prosper at the store front for the next 4 1/2 years.

The present property was purchased in March 1994 and in September 1997, the first phase of the building was ready for occupancy. The first phase served the congregation until 2000, when the Foster Fellowship Hall was built.

The third phase of the building project was completed in 2006 and encompasses our beautiful sanctuary. As the church continues to grow we believe that the best is yet to come.
